1 rainbow is formed in the sky after rainfall. this happens due to the dispersion of sunlight in the water droplets

2 dispersion of light is the splitting of white light into seven colors that are violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red

\mathbb{ANSWER\: :}

Rainbow is a natural effect of dispersion.

Rainbow formation : After rainfall, the drops of water, suspended in air, then disperse the sunlight in much the same way as a glass prism does.
