hello guys

today I will make you learn a math problem

The HCF of two numbers = 4
and their LCM = 288
then what are the.two numbers

many students have doubt in this problem

today I am going to clear your doubt

The two numbers must be multiple of their HCF because HCF is their highest common factor

So consider that the two numbers are 4x(4 × x= first number) and 4y (4 × y = second number)

so LCM of 4x and 4y = 4xy(find LCM by yourself okay guys)

now 4xy = 288

so xy= 288/4 = 72

so
72 =1×72(co prime)
=2×36(not co prime)
=8×9( co prime)
= and many others

so we have to multiply the co prime numbers with 4
so the numbers are = 1×4 = 4 and 72 ×4 = 288

the numbers can also be 8×4= 32 and 9 ×4 = 36

hope this will help you
