there are 4 types of forest
1 Emergent layer - The emergent layer contains a small number of
very large trees called emergents, which grow above the general
canopy
2 Canopy layer - canopy is used to refer to the extent of the outer
layer of leaves of an individual tree or group of trees
3 Understory layer - The understory is the underlying layer of
vegetation in a forest or wooded area, especially the trees
4 forest floor - the ground beneath the trees of a forest,
consisting of roots, soil, and decomposing organic matter.
