hello, here is your question. Please answer only if u know.

Question: You received 4 gift vouchers from ' Forever Chic" store. WHich option will save you the most money if you want to buy 2 items of the same price

A."Buy 1, get 1 free".
B. "1st item:80% sale. 2nd item: 20%of the 1st item's sale price".
C."1st item:60%sale. 2nd item:60% of the first item's sale price."
D."1st item: 70% sale. 2nd item:30% of the 1st item's sale price".
E. All have the same price.

Don't just give me the answer. also, explain

Anonymous: Answer is option B
Anonymous: Reason, let the price be 100 , then by getting 80% off , Price of A = 20 , and as Price of B = 20% of A's selling price = 4 total price = 24 , It's the lowest

Hey, Here is your answer mate,

..............

1.Buy 1 get 1 free

Here,If there the item cost is 100 then .. we have to pay rs.100 for 2 items..

2. 1st item is 80% sale..

If the cost of that item is 100 rs then that of 80 % Will be 20 rs. and on 2nd item 20 % of 1st item Means 4 rs..

Total Amt. for 2 items will be 20 + 4 = 24 rs..

3. 1st item is 60% sale..

If cost price of that item is 100 rs then that od 60 % will be 40 rs. and on 2nd item 60 % of 1st item will be 24 rs..

Total Amt. for 2 items will be 40 + 24 = 64 rs...

4. 1st item is 70 % sale..

If cost of that item is 100 rs then that of 70 % will be 30 rs. and on 2nd item is 30 % of 1st item means 70 rs..

{\mathfrak {\huge {Answer :-}}}

✨Let's consider the prices and do the sum.. (^_-)

✨Suppose the cost of first item is Rs. 100.

◾A

Buy 1 and get 1 free.

So, total cost = Rs. (100 + 0) = Rs. 100

◾B

80 % sale..!! That's too much.. xD.

So, cost of 1st item

= 100 - (80/100 * 100)

= 100 - 80 = 20

Cost of 2nd item

= 20/100 * 20

= 4

Total cost = Rs. (20 + 4) = Rs. 24

◾C

60 % sale..! That's fair.. xD.

So, cost of 1st item

= 100 - (60/100 * 100)

= 100 - 60 = 40.

Cost of 2nd item

= 60/100 * 40

= 24

Total cost = Rs. (40 + 24) = Rs. 64

◾D

70 % sale..!! xD.

So, cost of 1st item

= 100 - (70/100 * 100)

= 100 - 70 = 30.

Cost of 2nd item

= 30/100 * 30

= 9

Total cost = Rs. (30 + 9) = Rs. 39

♦️ Therefore, the option (B) will save me the most money. ♦️

Done.. ✔️

Anonymous: Nice one bro !!
Anonymous: But sale means subtracted , So 80% sale should cost 20 not 80 bro
