Chemistry, asked by harshaapareek, 1 year ago

Hello,i am a jee aspirant ...I have a doubt related to chemistry...if we are given any compound with its formula ,then how to determine wheather it is acid, base aur neutral...In the basic classess ofcourse we were said to see the prefix and suffix i.e,if it is acid it contains H- and if it is base then -OH...But now this doesn't work,as the compounds are not the easy one...I also watched certain videos, there they were referring to a sort of table for analysing...like if it is strong base then conjate is neutral....i am actually confused...plz help me with it...

you should go to your teacher to clear this dought

but I will clear this
hence, you are given with compound then we need to make it aqueous in solution
as it will loose it's ions then we can test it with litmus paper

jainakshat092: plz mark it as brillianr
harshaapareek: you are giving me idea to recognize it practically but i cannot do this while writing exam...isn't there any trick which i am unaware of
jainakshat092: okkkk
jainakshat092: to test this yiu need to go to lab
