BY TAKING SOME EXAMPLES

2NA+2HCl -----> 2NACl +H2

Mg+H2SO4----->MgSO4+H2

SO ;METALS REACT WITH ACIDS TO PRODUCE THEIR RESPECTIVE CHLORIDES:CARBONATES:SULPHATE ALONG WITH THE FORMATION OF HYDROGEN

Hello mate!!

To show the reaction of metals with acids :

Materials required : Zinc granules,Dilute Hydrochloric Acid and burning splinter.

Procedure : Take some zinc granules in a test tube.Add little dilute hydrochloric acid to it.

Observation : A gas is seen coming out of the test tube in the form of bubbles.Bring a burning splinter near the mouth of test tube.Splinter burns with a pop sound.

Zinc + Hydrochloric Acid = Zinc Chloride + Hydrogen

Conclusion : Metals react with acids evolving hydrogen gas.

Hope this helps
