the NO3 anion we have a Nitrogen bonded to 3 oxygen atoms, in a trigonal planar geometry (most symmetrical spatial arrangement possible for this molecule). Thus, one can say that the central atom (nitrogen) has a sp2 hybridization

Answer:

So, the species is tetrahedral with sp3 hybridisation. So, the species is linear with sp hybridisation.
