Simon commission was named after sir John simon.

Simon commission was formed to study the working of the constitutional reforms in India and suggest steps should be taken to extend the degree of responsible Government

Indians boycott the Simon commission because:

  1. There was no Indian member in the commission.
  2. The terms of the commission did not give any indication of swaraj.
