Numericals of sign convention.(ex-how we know that we take u -ve,v+ve etc.)

*Object placed on Left hand side is Taken as negative and objects/image on right hand side is taken as positive.
*Object is always placed on the Left Hand side
*All distances Parallel to the Principle axis is measured from the pole.
*Distance perpendicular to and above the principal axis is taken as positive and below the principal axis is taken as negative.
Lens
*Convex lens focal length will always be positive and concave lens focal length will always be negative.
