Hey mate here is your answer
river deltas from when we were carrying sediment reaches at their body of water such as a lake, Ocean, Reservoir, another river that cannot remove the sediment quickly enough to stop Delta formation over, an inland region where the water starts out and deposited sediments.

❤Good evening dear friend,
Formation of delta =>>>
sediments move downstream into rivers,because they are carried out by a current of water.
##two things happen when deltas are formed =>>
#1.)suddenly the force of water current slows down as it enters into sea.with that slow down,the sediment slow or stop moving.
#2.)when dirty water in the river mixes with salty water,then the clay particles float on the surface of clean water,but the salt in seawater causes them to coagulate and stick together and sink to the bottom.
=>>From these processes deltas are formed in long time.
