Answer:

(1) 3 apples

(2) 12 noon - 2.00 PM

(3) 9 P 9 L 9 Q 9 M 9 = -71.

Step-by-step explanation:

(1)

⇒ Given, 2 apples = 4 cherries.

Then, 1 apple = 2 cherries. ----- (i)

⇒ Given, 1 apple + 3 cherries = 2 cherry's + 1 grape

2 cherries + 3 cherries = 2 cherries + 1 grape

5 cherries = 2 cherries + 1 grape

3 cherries = 1 grape ---- (ii)

Hence, from (ii),

1 grape = 3 cherries

Then, 2 grapes = 6 cherries

That means 2 grapes = 3 apples {from (i)}.

Therefore, 2 grapes = 3 apples.

(3)

A. 32 P 8 L 16 Q 4 = 32 + 8 ÷ 16 - 4

                             = 28.5

B. 6 M 18 Q 26 L 13 P 7 = 6 * 18 - 26 ÷ 13 + 7

                                      = 113.

C. 11 M 34 L 17 Q 8 L 3 = 11 * 34 ÷ 17 - 8 ÷ 3

                                     = 19.33

D. 9 P 9 L 9 Q 9 M 9 = 9 + 9 ÷ 9 - 9 * 9

                                  = 9 + 1 - 81

                                  = -71.

Therefore, the answer is 9 P 9 L 9 Q 9 M 9 = -71.

Hope it helps!
