⭐ Weathering is the process of breakdown of rocks but not its removal. It can be termed as disintegration or decomposition of rocks.

⭐ Weathering is of three types - Mechanical weathering, Chemical weathering and Biological weathering.

⭐ Mechanical Weathering - It is the weathering which generally occurs due to temperature differences and it enhances the physical constituents of rocks.

⭐ Chemical Weathering - It is the weathering which occurs due to the reacrion of various chemical elements to the constituents of rocks specially oxygen, carbon dioxide and water.

⭐ Biological Weathering - It is also known as organic weathering. It is the subsequent disintegration of rocks caused by biological agents like plants, animals and humans.
