the word 'farce' derives from the old French meaning stuff or stuffing and may have originated in the comic interludes of medival French religious plays serving as 'light-hearted stuffing' in between more serious drama . Historically , the term mean a literary or artistic production of little merit.

There are few popular flims that can be an example of 'farce' i.e.

1)Home alone

2)the hangover (etc)

you can note or contain the common farce from these films such as Macaulay culkin's house in home alone etc.

Also when we apply the word farce or farcical to reality it's usually in a condemning way.while farce in comedy is very entertaining and far less amusing in world's politics or affairs.

Hope you understand it .
