hello mates what is the meaning of combustion and the difference between combustible and non combustible materials.....and pls telll who are in modern convent school dwarka???????

Combustion is the ability of any substance to burn in fire. Those substances which can burn in fire are called combustible substances like paper,wood and perol and those substances which cannot be burnt in fire are called non combustibles substances such as propane, acetylene and ethanol.

A chemical process in which substance react with oxygen to give heat and light are called combustion.
The substance which catch fire is known as combustible substance.
The substance which does not catch fire is known as non combustible substance.
