1. There are two kinds of Physical quantity- derived and basic (just like corresponding units). Length, mass and time are the three basic quantities. They do not depend on each other or any other quantity (non-relativistic case). There are other four basic quantities such as luminosity, current, temperature and amount of substance. And the derived quantities are based on these basic or fundamental quantities. Such as velocity. It depends on displacement (a length) and time. Derived quantities are made up of fundamental quantities or other derived quantities.
2. Ancient people used many methods to measure mass, time and length. It varied from one country to another. Some examples are-
time- with their heartbeat as measured from their wrist
length- with the length of a hand or length of one step
mass- with several instruments which varied from country to country

hey!! bro
here is ur ans
physical quantity - means anything which can be measured!!!
examples are - mass... time... velocity
(2).....a/q to magnitude there are three types of physical quantity
1....fundamental or basic physical quantity
2...supplementary physical quantity
3...drived physical quantity
fundamental physical quantity - it is independent it doesnot depend on other quantities... it is a quantity from which all the units of physics are based examples are length... mass... time...
2....supplementary - it is derieved from fundamental physical quantity !!
examples are plain angle.... solid angle
3... derieved - it means it is derived from fundamental and supplementary !! :)
so this is how they are dependent on each other
types of physical quantity a!/q to direction
1...vector physical quantity
2..scalar " "
3.....tensor " "
(3) ..... ur answer is in the picture !! :)
i tried my best actually i hav just now gone in 9 th standard so i know only this much so hope this can help u:)
