Answer:

Selling price = Marked price - Discount

When Discount is offered, M.P. > S.P.

When Discount is not offered, M.P. < S.P.

Answer:

To find MP when SP and Discount are given :-

When discount is in original form

⇒ MP = SP + Discount

When discount is in percentage form

\frac{100}{(100-Rate of discount)} × SP

Example 1 :-

Let the SP be ₹100 and Discount be ₹20

MP = SP + Discount = ₹100 + ₹20 = ₹120 is MP

Example 2 :-

Let the SP be ₹100 and Discount be 20%

MP = \frac{100}{(100-Rate of discount)} * SP =\frac{100}{(100-20)} * 100 = \frac{100}{80} * 100 = 125 is MP
