Q- Write a debate either FOR or AGAINST the motion,
'X and XII Board exams should be scrapped and alternative methods of assessment
should be introduced.'

I strongly believe that X and XII Board exams should not be scrapped. There are many reasons for not doing so. Board Exams make the students take their studies seriously, which they would take lightly otherwise.  

I would also like to bring to your attention the fact that other alternative methods won’t be as effective as the board exams. A few years ago CCE pattern had been introduced by the government; the pattern was quite progressive and futuristic; however, the schools and teachers started compromising ethical teaching practices. Even the students became non-serious thinking most of the grades were to be supplied by the schools and their teachers. Ultimately, the CBSE had to scrap it off.  

I strongly reaffirm that X and XII Board exams should not be scrapped.
