Answer:

The stages of cell cycle are in order interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. This process is known as mitosis.

Explanation:

1) Interphase:- It is the resting stage of a cell. The replication of DNA occurs in the S phase of this stage.

2) Prophase:- It is the stage where chromosomes become visible and nuclear membrane dissolves.

3) Metaphase:- It is the stage where chromosomes line up in the centre of the cell.

4) Anaphase:- It is the stage where the cell begins to divide and spindle shorten and pulls chromatids apart.

5) Telophase:- It is the stage where cytokinesis finishes and the nuclear membrane reforms.

Two new cells are fully formed by the end of this stage.
