Hello ppl!

A son was born when his father was 28 yrs old. If the sum of their ages in 2010 AD was 44 year then find their ages in 2020AD.

Let the son's & Fathers age be " X " & " Y " respectively.

X + 28 = Y ( when born )

X + Y = 44 ( In 2010)

from eq. 1 we get,

X + X + 28 = 44

2X = 16

X = 8

Y = 8 + 28

Y = 36

The son's age is 8 & the dad's age is 36 years in 2010.

Thus for 2020 the son's age is 18 ( 8+10 ) & dad's age is 46 ( 36+10) years.
