Hello ppl!!

Find the probability that a number chosen at random from the integers between 5 and 16 inclusive is a multiple of 3 or a multiple of 2.

6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 , 15 and 16.

Therefore, total number of outcomes =11

Numbers inclusive between 5 and 16 which are divisible by 2 or 3 are-

6 , 8, 9 ,10 ,12, 14 and 15.

Number of favourable outcomes = 7

Therefore, probability of getting a number which is either a multiple of 2 or 3 is:

p(e) =  \frac{7}{11}

HENCE, THE REQUIRED PROBABILITY IS = 7 / 11.
