When pH of rain water is less than 5.6 it is called acid rain. when it flows into the rivers these also get acidic, which cause a threat to the survival of aquatic life.

In acid rain the moisten water droplets in the air gets contaminated by harmfull gases such as sulphur monoxide thus this polluted water droplets rains as acid rain. It effects our skin, marbles, rocks etc
