Biodegradable waste are organic waste which can be broken down by micro-organisms or decomposition. Biodegradable waste includes plant products like paper, wood, leaves, etc. and remains of living organisms.
Plastics should be avoided because they are non-biodegradable materials which can not be degraded. Plastics products pollute our land and water. Plastic litters is causing great problems to the environment. The other main reason to avoid plastics is that if we burn them to destroy them, it only create harmful gases and pollute the air.
