There are 6 types of map
1. Political map-It focuses solely on the state and national boundaries.
2.Physical map- They generally show things like mountains, rivers, lakes, deserts, soil type etc.
3.Topographic map- It is similar to physical map. Unlike physical map, this type of map uses contour line instead of colours to show in the land scapes
4.Climate maps- This show climate of an area
5.Economic maps or resource maps- It show the specific types of economic activities or natural resources present in an area through the use of different symbols or colours.
6.Road maps- It is the one of the most widely used map types. These maps show major and minor highways and roads, as well as things like airports, city location etc.
