Lap in the verb form means to drink or sip a fluid from a bowl or plate directly with the mouth. This action is usually done by animals where they put their tongue into the liquid and curl the tongue upwards. In this action, some amount of milk will be stored in the tongue which is drunk by the animal.

2) Echo
