\mathfrak{ANSWER}

\bold{Aim} : To demonstrate root pressure in plants

\bold{Apparatus}: Potted plant with stem cut,rubber tube and glass tube

\bold{Procedure}:

1.Take a regulary watered potted plant and cut the stem such that it is 1cm above ground level

2.Take care while joining tube and stem ,it must be bound tightly.water can’t escape from tube.

3.Now ,pour some water in glass tube and mark the level as M1.

6.Place this set up undistrubed for 2-3 hours and Observe

\bold{Observation} :

We can observe there is rise in level of water which is M2.

\bold{Result}:-

The raise in the water level is because of the root pressure created in the plant.

\boxed{Precautions}

• size of glass tube must be equal to size of the stem.
