Answer :

Option => C.

5 Images.

Explanation :

Given :

Two Flats mirrors are placed at an angle 60° from from each other.

To find :

How many images will be formed of a Candle placed between them.

Solution :

Now,

If two Flat mirrors are placed at an angle -

 \phi

Implies,

The number of the images of an object placed between the mirrors -

\sf \implies \dfrac{360}{\phi}  - 1

Where,

\phi = 60

Therefore,

The number of the images of the candle :

\sf \implies \dfrac{360}{60}  - 1 \ \\ \\ \sf \implies \: 5

Hence,

Option C is correct.

5 Images will be formed.

Answer:

The basic trick is to find a number "m" , which is obtained by dividing 360° with the angle between the mirrors ( in this case 60°).

1. Now if "m" comes as even, then the number of images formed will be (m -1).

2. If the "m" value comes as odd, then 2 cases arise :

a) if object was placed symetrically, then number of images will be (m-1)

b) if object is placed asymmetrically, then number of images will be (m)

CALCULATION:

m = 360/60 = 6

So first cases arises,

Number of images = 6-1 = 5 images

So option C) is correct
