Hey user,

Have you ever heard of the African President Nelson Mandela.I bet you must have. When Mandela was elected as the President ,half of the Citizens of Africa were in shock,They were thinking"how could he be the President???..... Because he had DIED LONG YEARS BACK!!!!.It is okay when one or two people have this thought or maximumly 10-20 people. But what to do when lakhs and lakhs of people will have this thought??!!.The scientists and physicists of that country told that
"Looks like, the people who have a thought of death of Mandela have come from the parallel universe (A universe that is similar to our universe)and our universe's people have gone to their universe."And this is, my dear called the MANDELA EFFECT!!!,an effect that has again put a question on our mind of the existence of parallel universe!!!.

'Mandela effect' is a phenomenon when we recollect something that has happened in the past but with wrong details. We are so convinced about this misremembering that we deny any other explanations.

The term was given by Fiona Broome because of an instance that happened in 2010 when Nelson Mandela's death was wrongly remembered on the internet.

Mandela effect is much more common than we think and happens in day-to-day life. Supposing I tell my friend that we have an assignment due on Tuesday (but is actually due on Monday) and we both come unprepared for it on Monday, it is a wrong memory of a past event. Another example would be the character or Pikachu from Pokémon. Though it has been shown with a completely yellow tail nowadays, it once had a black tip. This is again a misremembering. You can find plenty of other examples by just reflecting upon your day to day life.

Hope that helps :)
