hiii!!!

here's ur answer...

5. given the hypotenuse of the right angle triangle is 20cm and the ratio of the other two sides is 4 : 3

let the other two sides be 4x and 3x

by Pythagoras theorem :-

==> (4x)² + (3x)² = 20²

==> 16x² + 9x² = 400

==> 25x² = 400

==> x² = 400/25

==> x² = 16

==> x = √16

==> x = 4

hence, the two other sides of the right angle triangle are :-

4x = 4 × 4 = 16cm and 3x = 3 × 4 = 12

6. given the ratio of the sides of the triangle is 3 : 4 : 5

the longest side must be the hypotenuse so let the hypotenuse of the triangle be 5

therefore 3² + 4² = 5²

LHS :-

= 3² + 4²
= 9 + 16
= 25

RHS :-

= 5²
= 25

therefore LHS = RHS

hence, it's proved that it's a right angle triangle.

hope this helps..!!
