find the value of
 {x}^{4}  + \frac{1}{ {x}^{4} } when \: x +  \frac{1}{x}  = 3

(x + 1/x)² = 9

x²+1/x²+2 = 9

x²+1/x²= 7

(x²+1/x²)² = 49

x^4+1/x^4 +2 = 49

x^4+1/x^4 = 47

x + 1/x =3

squaring both sides

(x + 1/x)² = 3²

x² + 2x1/x + 1/ x² = 9

x²+1/x² = 7

squaring both sides

(x²+1/x²) = 7²

x⁴ + 2x²+ 1/x² +1/x⁴ = 49

x⁴+1/x⁴ = 47
