now according to the question, we have

(A+17)/(A+8 - 1) = 3/2,


(A+17)/(A+7) = 3/2,


2(A+17) = 3(A+7),


2A+34=3A+21,


then

34-21=3A-2A,


13=A,


therefore
fraction will be 13/(13+8) = 13/21
