than he would earn = 20*120 = 2400

and if he was absent for all 20 days ,

he loose = 20*10 = -200

now, by alliagtion rule ::--------

2400 -200

(1880-(-200) :(2400-1880)

= 2080:520

= 4:1

so, he was present for = 20*4/5 = 16 days .

and absent for = 20*1/5 = 4 days (Ans)
