In the glass making industries, there are diamond tipped pencils which cut the glass in the demanded and cut to cut shape.

Plus diamonds are very mesmerizing and are used by women to adorn themselves.

Solution :-

What are diamonds ?

Diamonds are an allotrope of carbon that are formed due to high pressure beneath the earth. Literally no one can imagine that a dark thing like coal can produce diamond. If we talk about its chemical structure then diamond are 3-D in shape with Pyramid like structure.

Uses of Diamonds ::

  • Diamond is used for jwellery purpose.

  • It is used in cutting of hard rocks.

  • Being the hardest known substance it is used to pressurize different solids .

  • It is extensively used in jwellery and ornaments.

  • Diamond is also used in high powered reflectors so because they have the capability of Total Internal Reflection and high reflection power.

What are the diamonds especially meant for ?

Diamonds are especially meant for jwellery purposes. They are cut and shaped in proper way and thus are attached to make expensive jewelleries. Diamonds also have a great use in search lights. Diamonds are of very different types and are available in different colours. Mostly diamonds are in white or transparent colour having crystallised form.

Their main purpose is for jewelleries, necklace, ornaments, crowns, rings, etc.

How the diamonds are formed ?

Diamonds are formed when coal or high carbon piece is under high pressure . Firstly the coal gets high temperature and it starts to melt. After melting it looses its black colour and its fragrance gets dissipated. Then again due to pressure it forms a molten transparent mixture. Then the mixture crystallises and forms a solid. Due to the presence of carbon in high amount it forms a 3 dimensional pyramidal structure. This structure gives it different faces to reflect and thus it is formed. After that it is extracted and shaped according to the jwellery.
