we divide 48 into two parts of 24 each

Now she bought 2 pounds pista and 3 pounds almonds.

think of a number which is both multiplied by 2 and 3 and gives a sum of 48..

but 24 should be the one factor multiplied by both and add so we have an answer is 12 and 8 respectively

Now almond cost 8 and pista cost 12.
