• because gases has a property of compressibility so they can be filled in a given vessel easily.
• because the particles of gases are moving continuously and they have kinetic energy so they exerts pressure.
• because the particles of wooden table are tightly packed and cannot be compressed further and it is property of solid.
• because in air particles are moving freely and not packed whereas in solid block the particles are tightly packed and on moving our hand can be injured.

Ans4. They float bcoz when water converts into ice its density decreases due to the spaces present in ice this space occurs when the state changes from liquid to solids.
