Answer:

The Falaj (By Farheen)

Explanation:

I have written a whole document so, I'll help you too.

The period between 1,000 BCE to 300 BCE was during the Iron Age in UAE. Iron Age I spanned from 1,200–1,000 BCE. Iron Age II from 1,000–600 BCE and Iron Age III from 600–300 BCE. This period was followed by the Late Pre-Islamic era which began in 300 BCE then the Islamic era which commenced with the culmination of the 7th century Ridda Wars.

New Technologies That Developed in The UAE Around 1000 To 300 BCE

There were several inventions during the period of 1000 to 300 BCE:

1100–1200BCE-Iron sword

1000BCE-The alphabet

1500–300BCE-Rudders

1000BCE-Plows with iron tips

700BCE-Water wheel

500BCE-Spinning wheel

300BCE-Wood pole lathe

Which technologies and strategies changed the way of life of people in the UAE around 1000 to 300 BCE?

Technologies that changed the way of life of people in the UAE around 1000to 300 BCE were:

Irrigation technology (The Falaj) (This influenced Diversification of settlements)

Domestication of Camels (This influenced Diversification of settlements)

Axe

Pottery

Q) How did these technologies and strategies influence the life of the people of the UAE and how it influenced the major powerful neighbouring Empires then?

Irrigation of technology which was known as Falaj. Irrigation technology was responsible for creating a social elite class. This class was responsible for cyclic production, the expansion and the diversification of settlement patterns using the domestication of the camel.

Excavations and surveys in al-Madam Region and Central Oman show relation between an irrigation technology (Falaj) and Iron Age II settlements, relation between settlements and Falaj technology also existed in Central Oman.

Remains of a Falaj located near al-Qarn al-Mu'allaq existed. Another settlement in Wadi Samad (Maysar) was located alongside a Falaj system. Falaj impacted the settlements during that age.

Q) Why is the irrigation system responsible for diversification of settlements?

The recovery of a Falaj beside Iron age II settlements.

The continuous aridity of the weather during Iron Age II.

Archaeobotanical evidence from Salut in central Oman provided evidence for cultivation of wheat, date palms, sesame and basil. The recovery of grinding equipment and agricultural tools suggest cereal cultivation was practiced.

Q) How did the new technologies influence the major powerful nations during the iron age?

Falaj: The Falaj was a very useful irrigation system and UAE was among the first to discover it. This influenced the other nations to imply this system in their own nation.

Domestication of camels: The UAE used to domesticate camels, which helped in trade and transportation. Trade influenced other Major nations. It could also be possible that UAE traded camel supplies like camel meat to other nations.

Iron: UAE could have traded iron materials like swords and axes with other nations.

That's all
