Poaching of tigers and clearing of forests for agriculture , demand for tiger skin regular threat to their lives and depletion of their cheif constituent like deer and wild , wild cattles for food has resulted in the decreasing population of tigers . According to Dr. K. Ullas Karanth is protected and given sufficient access to abundant prey , population of tigers can quickly stabilize. It needs continued finding from conservation groups like the Wildlife Conservation Society.
