 \huge \text{ QUESTION}

the percentage of marks obtained by a student in monthly unit test are given below

Test ⠀⠀⠀⠀% of marks obtained

I⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀69

II⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀71

III ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀73

IV⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀68

V⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀74

based on this data, find the probability that student get more than 70% marks in unit test .

 \huge \text{ ANSWER}

Based on this data, we can see that

  • Number of units test = 5
  • No. of test in which the student have scored more than 70% marks = 3 ( II , III , V )

Now , we have to find the probability that student get more than 70% marks in unit test .

hence , probability that student get more than 70% marks in unit test =

No. of test in which the student have scored more than 70% marks ÷ Number of units test

and we know that , No. of test in which the student have scored more than 70% marks is 5 and Number of units test is 3

 \sf: \Longrightarrow  \dfrac{3}{5}
