If 16 is the mean proportion between two numbers a and b and 128 is the third proportion to a and b ..find the numbers

Mean proportion of a and b =16
√ab=16
ab = 256 so a=256/b
now third proportion of a and b=128
a:b: :b:128
a/b=b/128
3b^2=128a =128×256/b
b^3=128×256
b=32
a=256/32=8
√ab=16
