pOH = -log(5 × 10^-6)
= -log (5 + 10^-6).
= -log 5 - log(10^-6)
= -log 5 -(-6)
= 6 - log(5)
pH + pOH = 14
pH + 6 - log (5) = 14
pH = 14 - 6 + log(5)
= 8 + log (5)
= 8 + 0.69
pH = 8.69
There u go....
