Let speed of the bus is v km/h. Than
Relative speed of the bus in same direction = v - 20
And opposite to the man = v +20
Now t = relative distance / relative velocity for same direction = 18/60= d / v-20
d = 18*(v-20)/60
And for opposite
6/60 = d /v+20
d = (v+20)*6/60
Now equate both d
18*(v-20) =6*(v+20)
3v - 60 =v +20

V = 80/2=40km/h and
Now put v in second equation we get
d = (40+20)/10=6km
d = v*T
6 =40*T
T = 6/40=3/20h = 3*60/20 minutes =9minutes
