For a fraction ,

 \bf   \frac{a}{b}

 \bf  \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{a \:  \div \:  n}{b  \: \div  \: n}

Where , n 0 and n divides both a and b

we have to express

 \bf \frac{ - \:  48}{60}

as rational number with denominator 5.

In order to make the denominator 5 , divide 60 by 12.

Therefore ,

 \bf \frac{ - 48}{60}  =  \frac{ - 48 \div 12}{60 \div 12}

 \bf \frac{ - 48}{60} =  \frac{ - 4}{5}

Answer:-

Step by step explaination:-

For a Fraction,

a by b

a by b = a÷n by b÷n

Where, n≠0 & n divides both a&b we have to express as rational number with denominator 5

- 48 by 60

In order to make denominator 5, divide 60 by 12. Therefore,

- 48 by 60 = - 48÷12 by 60÷12

- 48 by 60 = -4 by 5
