Now, ΔBDE, we have

∠CDB =∠CEB+∠DBE

x=∠CEB+40 ………..(1)

In ΔAEC

∠CEB=∠CAB+∠ACE

∠ CEB =48+30=78°

Put in (1)

x=78+40=118°
