then we get

$x^{2} +\frac{1}{x^{2} } +2=25$

then when you transpose 2 to RHS you get 23.

x² + 1/x²

= ( x + 1/x )² - 2 * x * 1/x

= 5² - 2 [ from ( 1 ) ]

= 25 - 2

= 23
