we will try solving this problem by binomial expansion

(1+x)ⁿ=1+nx+n(n-1)/2!*x²+n(n-1)(n-2)/3!*x³+.....so on

where n=1/4

x=0.95556

plugging the values

(1+0.95556)^1/4=1+1/4*0.95556+1/4*(-3/4)*(0.9556)²/2+...

=1+0.23889-3*1/32+...

=1.15 (approx)

1.15-1=0.15

i have done this expansion just for 3 terms...if u will continue with this then u will get your answer 0.1825

Another method would be to assume 0.95556=1

so

2^1/4

=(√2)^1/2

=1.414^1/4

=1.18
