Answer:

todays developing countries were colonies of European powers and at time of their independence were primarily agriculture based economies. their agriculture was inefficient and international prices fro agro output were not enough for them to pursue development .increasingly countries like Taiwan. South Korea Singapore and Thailand adopted manufacturing and focussed on tertiary service .in many countries the transition from primary to tertiary took place after adopting modern methods of cultivation like india and green revolution. the primary sector in almost all these countries had disgused employment due to which these countries had to follow a policy of urbanization attracting the excess labour from primary sector to serve in all other sectors , primary tertiary. even the india the tertiary sector accounts for major inflow of foreign exchange and provides gainful employment.
