Side of a square park = 100m
Length of the path = 5m
Area of square = side × side
A = 100×100
=10,000
Area of path = 5×5= 25
Total area = 10,000 - 25
= 9,975
Cost of cementing =
9,975 × 250
= 2,493,750
Therefore, Area is 9,975 and cost of cementing is
₹ 2,493,750

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Side of the square Park=100m

Side of the boundary=100+5+5

=110

Area of path = area of boundary - area of square Park

Area of path = 110²-100²

=(110+100)(110-100)

[a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)]

=210×10

= 2100m²

Cost of cementing 1m²=rs250

Cost of cementing 2100m²=rs250×2100

=rs52500
