a car travels 30 kilometre with uniform speed of 15 kilometre per hour and next 30 kilometre travels with a speed of 40 kilometre per hour. find average speed

Concept : Average speed Total distance travel ÷time taken.

Here ,First 30km is travel with a speed of

15 km/h

So, total time taken is 30/15=2hours

Again total time taken to travel next 30km

with speed 40km/h is 30/40=0.75hours.

Now Average speed=Total distance ÷total time taken.

=30+30/2+0.75

=60/2.75

=21.81km/h

So, average speed is 21.81km/h
