Let V be the volume and d be the density of the solid then weight of the body =Vdg.

Volume of solid body inside water = V-20/1=20v/4

Weight of water displaced by immersed portion of the body

20/v×10^3×g

∴ By the principle of floatation,

Vdg=20v/1×10^3 g

d=20/1×10^3=20000 kg m-3
