Here,

Mass, m = 1 kg

initial velocity, u = 20 ms-¹

Distance, S = 50 m

Final velocity, v= 0

Acceleration, a=?

Force , f =?

we know that ,

2as =  {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2}

 =  > 2a \times 50 =  {0}^{2}  -  {20}^{2}

 =  > 2a \times 50 = 40

 =  > a =  \frac{40}{100}

 =  > a =  - 40

Therefore, the force of friction is – 4 N
