Solution:

given: mass of a body = 5 kg

use the given graph data

1. acceleration = change in velocity / time

by graph velocity vs time

acceleration = slope of velocity vs time graph

= tan ∅

tan ∅ = 5/2 = 2.5 m/s²

2. Force acting on the body = ma

F = ma

= 5×( 5/2) = 25/2 = 12.5 N

3. change in momentum of the body in 2 s after the start

= momentum (at t = 2 sec )- momentum (t = 0)

= mv2- mv1

= m (v2-v1). [ V1 = 0 ; t = 0]

= 5 × 5

= 25kg m /s
